After so many years, I am delighted to have been able to contribute, even modestly, to the world of Osteopathy and to see how the technique that has given me so much professionally has found its place within Evidence-Based Medicine.
It has not been an easy journey. Conducting an RCT without any support, facing the challenges of an environment often driven by non-scientific interests, and overcoming the barriers that make it difficult for Osteopathy to gain the recognition it deserves have all been significant challenges.
Even so, I believe my place is still in clinical practice, where I truly feel that my work has meaning, and perhaps also in teaching, to ensure that the future does not lose one of Osteopathy’s great techniques.
